State Legislators (and State Legislative Analysts)
Work Hard into Early Summer
Work Hard into Early Summer
| Though Congress has gotten most of the press this year, what with the economic crisis and subsequent stimulus debate, state lawmakers across the country have had a busy year thus far, having proposed and discussed upwards of 150,000 bills -- everything from tome-like budget-slashing bills to one-paragraph local proposals. We've been busy at StateScape as well, tracking, to date, around 59,000 of those measures (more than one-third of the total) for our clients on a myriad of topics -- from taxes and information technology to the environment, civil rights, and healthcare...and many things in between. In tracking hundreds of issues for our clients, we've reviewed nearly all introduced legislation to ensure that our clients are made aware of items crucial to them as quickly as possible. | ![]() |
